Visit where you can't go

This short project was conducted in a week for a workshop between STRATE College in Paris and HEAD in Geneva. My teammate and I had to think of a potential future application for a new generation of 3D cameras that could film in real time with high definition and differentiate materials according to colors. Among the topics we were assigned the education field. A design approach was performed and few scenarios were made to end up with this concept.

Few 3D cameras would be welded to a structure which would be placed in places most peoples can't access because of their difficulty to access because of mere restrictions. It would then create videos and scan for its surroundings to analyze the elements of the place as well as its flora and its fauna. The 3D video would then be projected onto the walls of an immersion room in a public library where people could pause and rewind and move around and simply be curious about what they see. Scientific information would be displayed according to what intrigued the customer.

Examples for different situations were considered such as the Great Coral Reef of the Australian's East Coast, the oceans' depths, the inside of the Egyptian pyramids and of Lascaux caves in France.
